Once again, I followed the instructions, went to control panel and uninstalled PlayMemories and then re-installed from the Sony website the driver software for the DSC-RXM3 and using the download for Windows It still causes the browser to crash.
There still remains a compatibility issue. I am very dissatisfied witht the lack of adequate and proper support provided.
Can you fix the problem once and for all? Tried to download Play Memories Home on Windows It didn't like my broadband router so switched to a local hotspot which took 10 minutes to download completely.
Application worked fine for a week then strated to download updates every time I tried to open it. Uninstalled the software and downloaded again and again had to use hotspot for internet connection. Still can't get the application to open - starts the update download then nothing. Has Sony got a solution to this?

First, let me congratulate your daughter on her wedding. Now as for the update message in PlayMemories Home, I would suggest running the Initialization tool to resolve the issue.
As far as I know, overwelming majority of Sony's customers still have severe problems with software PlayMamories Home. People mentioned it numerous times last year and today is January , but the same problems people encounter with this ill software. In my case I do not have problem to download it, but still cannot open it having a very common message about "Browser has stopped working I tried numerous variants in my computer, but all of them have failed.
If I cannot solve this problem, I have to sell my camera only because I cannot transfer images into my computer. This problem has nothing to do with camera, but Sony probably does not have good computer programmers. My question is to everyone: Is there any way to transfer images from Sony Camera to a computer without this idiotic PlayMemories Home software?? Please, help!!! By the way, both Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers cannot work with this program, at least in my computer.

Open the file folder wherein the photos or videos are saved. Highlight the files you want to copy and move them by dragging or selecting Copy on your Right Click menu and pasting them to your preferred destination folder. When the [Add Folders] window appears, check the box of the folder which includes images you want to manage on PlayMemories Home, then click [Next]. If you have more than one Sony cameras, repeat the steps from 9 to 12 for each camera.
